POSITION:

Assistant Professor of Nursing, Millikin University

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a nine-month, tenure track position.  The successful candidate will provide classroom and clinical instruction in the undergraduate and/or graduate curricula beginning fall semester, 2008.  Millikin University seeks individuals interested in being part of a growing program in an institution committed to helping students obtain a strong liberal education blended with dynamic professional development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be doctorally prepared in nursing or a related field.  Candidates nearing the completion of doctoral studies may be considered.  The candidate must hold a master’s degree in nursing and an unencumbered professional registered nursing license (or be eligible for RN licensure) in the state of Illinois.  In addition, the candidate must have strong educational and/or experiential background in medical-surgical nursing, maternal/pediatric, and/or community health nursing.  A strong track record of research and publication is essential.  Candidates must have the potential for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and university service. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior teaching experience in graduate programs preferred.
