POSITION:

Trinity Christian College, Palos Heights, IL.  Nursing faculty position in Child and Family Health.  Seeking full-time, tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Nursing, starting fall 2008.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility for teaching both the classroom and clinical components of child and family health nursing, and other teaching and clinical responsibilities as arranged.  Faculty members have additional responsibility for student advisement, college and department service, and scholarly and professional achievement.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:

A master’s degree in nursing is required, with a major in child and family health nursing.  Current licensure as a professional nurse in Illinois, or eligibility for, is required.  Clinical experience in nursing and the ability to work in a second clinical area is required. 

Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.  They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed, Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning.  Faculty members are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside the classroom in advising, social interaction, and informal academic and cultural settings. 

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS

A doctorate in nursing or a related area is preferred.  Successful experience in teaching at the baccalaureate level is desirable.
