POSITION: |
Nursing Lab. Coordinator (full-time) |
RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Organization and maintenance of nursing skills laboratory for RN students to practice and acquire technical nursing skills; demonstrates skills and supervises students during practice Lab. sessions; works closely with faculty to implement strategies that will enhance students’ ability to meet clinical objectives; assists with ordering supplies/equipment; performs inventory, maintains the operation of the Lab. according to the established rules; and performs other responsibilities as required. |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: |
BSN degree; current RN Illinois license; two years of current clinical experience; proficiency in computer usage, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff. |
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: |
MSN degree; two years of nursing didactic and clinical teaching experience; CPR Instructor Certification; familiarity with operation of METI Simulators |
