POSITION:

Full-time, Tenure Track Nursing Instructor at Highland Community College

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Highland Community College, a dynamic two-year community college in the heart of northwest Illinois (100 miles west of Chicago, near the Wisconsin and Iowa borders), is accepting applications for a full-time nursing instructor to assist in clinical instruction for the Spring 2009 semester. We are committed to shaping the future of our communities by providing quality education and learning opportunities through programs and services that encourage personal and professional growth of the people of northwestern Illinois.  We are seeking candidates who share this philosophy to join our expanding nursing program.  Experience in med/surg preferred. This full-time, tenure track position will teach at least 15 contact hours each week (fall & spring sections) and fulfill other duties included in a full-time faculty position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must be qualified to teach in an Associate Degree nursing program.  A Masters degree in Nursing is required with a preference in specialty education preferred. Experience in nursing education and curriculum development a plus.  Must be licensed in the State of Illinois or eligible for licensure.  Must be available to begin the Spring 2009 semester.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in med/surg preferred.
